I will be doing a rotation at Harbor-UCLA from July 22-Aug 16th. Does anyone know of a place to live, or recommendations on finding a place?? I am looking in the Long Beach/Redondo Beach/Hermosa Beach/Manhattan Beach type areas. Any help would be great!
thanks...

Still looking for a place to live for July 22 rotation! Aren't there any Harbor residents on this site?! Anyone else who has rotated there that can tell me where they lived? It's quite difficult to find a 1 month sublet in the remote vicinity.
thanks... :smokin:

I rotated at Harbor-UCLA two years ago and stayed in "the barricks." They are located within the medical complex and are essentially free for visiting students. There is also free parking. The person in charge of setting up your away rotation should be able to give you more info. Space is limited and is assigned on a "first come, first served" basis, so get the ball rolling. The barricks are somewhat primitive, but it is fun because it is so close and there are other visiting students staying there.

JBM-I asked the lady in charge of setting up my rotation (Frances Sabella) and she was clueless regarding helping me with any sort of housing and certainly did not offer "the barracks". This is the first time I am hearing of such a place. Any other ideas of who to contact about these barracks? Are they like dorms or something?
Thanks...

hey there,
i'll be rotating at harbor on Aug 5.

I just called 310-222-2911, talked to norma and she set me up at the "barracks". What a deal! Free housing, food, and parking. 2 min walk to hospital.

hope you get this info soon enough. Good luck on the rotation!

Hey Rogi- I guess I'll see you at Harbor because I'm already here! I found a place to stay nearby, but thanks anyways. It would have been nice to get a place for free, but oh well. I guess I'll meet you in a couple weeks... :smokin:
