Anyone out there do a research year before residency & owe financial aid? Specifically, if you do a research year (paid), is financial non-deferrable (do you need to start making payments that year?)? Thanks...
You might be able to defer during that year if the position qualifies as a graduate fellowship. Maybe someone on this board has been through this before. If you are unable to defer, then you might be able to get a forbearance on it and at least not have to pay on the loans.
