Questions about ERAS -

Once you certify your application, can you add further LORs to the list? If not, shoud you add every name you may ask to write a letter? Does it matter if you then don't ask for that letter?

Thanks -

You can always add and delete LORs as long as they haven't been sent to a program already. It's separate from the application certification. Our student affairs ERAS person also said that they don't see the list or names of letters, they just get LOR1, LOR2, LOR3, LOR4... One of the program directors that checks this site could tell you for sure.

Can anyone else verify this? I unfortunately can't rely on the person in charge of ERAS at my school. The ERAS website says you can add letters after certifying, but I was told by at my school that we cannot.

Thanks

Concur with boneblaster. You can always add letters even after certification. Go to ERAS website and download the info packet and read it, it explains all about this and more. I found it very helpful to read the whole thing even though it's about 30 pages. It's worth the investment of your time.
