OOPS...I dunno what happened to my last post but here it is again...

I rotated at Duke about 10 months ago for 1 month on a variety of services. In my opinion, the operative experience was awesome. It comes later in the training (ie. starting end of 2nd yr to beginning of 3rd yr) but the 5th years were operating all the time. They seemed very confident, competent, and were teaching the cases to the junior residents. I hope to achieve the same kind of knowledge when I'm a 5th year. There are a bunch of fellows but there are so many cases, ususally it wasn't an issue. I think there as talk of also adding a trauma fellow because of all the pelvis trauma cases. Lemme know if you have any specific questions!

Take care...
