Having not Matched last year, I just wanted to stress the importance of having a back-up plan in this crazy process. I wanted to draw everyone's attention to the numerous year-long research opportunities posted in the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Forum, including my current position - a salaried clinical research fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. I can't speak for the other positions, but my year's been a tremendous experience - a very worthwhile way to spend an unexpected year. Take a look!
