I thought this would be funny, but which schools had the best food when you went there, we're talking total package of social event and interview day food.

haha.. you'll have to narrow it down to breakfast and lunch/dinner!

I thought pitt and ohio state had great lunch/ dinner things..

Although the breakfast sandwiches at UMaryland were awesome. I hated interviewing with an empty stomache or some crummy bagel/danish in my tummy!

Greenville. Went to a nice restaurant the night before with kebabs and such. Had an excellent lunch the next day as well.

The only I really remember last year was JPS made you pay for drinks at dinner.

JPS did provide a free hotel in downtown Fort Worth, unlike any other program I interviewed at. That costs more than drinks...

Greenville also provided hotel. Jacksonville provided a substantially reduced rate for hotel. I forgot that was included in "spread."

I had hotels provided at two interviews - and one was the HILTON! The other one was almost like a bead-and-breakfast and the breakfast there was by far the best I've had on "the trail." I think the best spreads are when a program gets the food that everyone from that city always raves about to show it off to the applicants (i.e. BBQ ribs from Montgomery Inn in Cinci, etc).

There is almost certainly some institutional rule that university funds can not be used to pay for alcohol.
