The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics (RIAO) at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore invites all interested and qualified individuals to apply for a two-year orthopaedic research fellowship position with the Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement. This is a salaried position that will begin on or before July 1, 2018.

It presents the amazing opportunity to work with national and international leaders in the areas of total joint replacement and osteonecrosis, to assist with FDA trials of new drugs and devices, to gather and analyze data, to attend and present your work at regional and national conferences, and to prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Previous fellows have published multiple PubMed-listed articles and have presented at the annual AAOS meetings during their fellowships. This is an excellent way to improve your CV and increase your chance of matching to an orthopaedic residency.

Almost all of the previous fellows (>98%), including allopathic, osteopathic, and IMGs, have successfully matched into U.S. orthopaedic residency programs.

The fellows will work under the direction of:
• Ronald E. Delanois, M.D., Director, Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement
• James Nace, D.O., M.P.T., Academic Director, Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement

GOALS:
• Investigate basic science and clinical aspects of total joint arthroplasty and preservation.
• Prepare manuscripts and textbook chapters.
• Present at research meetings, seminars, journal clubs, symposia, and professional society meetings.

PREREQUISITE EDUCATIONAL LEVEL OR CREDENTIALS:
All candidates who will be medical school graduates by July 1, 2018.

APPLICATION:
Please attach the following materials to RIAOorthoresearch@gmail.com:
1. Cover letter OR letter of interest.
2. Ortho personal attachment.
3. CV OR ERAS application pdf.
4. All USMLE AND/OR COMLEX Score reports.
