Over the last 4 years, Thomas Jefferson University has compiled data on the Sidney Kimmel Medical College 4th year medical students who applied to orthopedic surgery residency programs. This data has been compiled and analyzed using a recursive partitioning algorithm to derive an evidence-based recommendation for how many programs 4th year students applying for orthopedic surgery residency should apply to in order to maximize their likelihood of matching. The analysis was based on AOA status, research projects, and step one score. We hope that this data will inform your decision regarding the number of programs to apply to, a question which is otherwise a bit of a shot in the dark. Because this data is currently limited to a single institution, we are also hoping that we can gather data on this year's applicants from various medical schools to expand the cohort. If you click on the link below, it will take you to a short survey which asks for your email. We will followup with you after Match Day to evaluate the utility of the predictions offered by our dataset. Your data will not be used in any fashion before Match Day and will have no influence whatsoever on the residency application process at Thomas Jefferson University. We hope that this data helps you make an evidence-based decision regarding the necessary number of applications to submit. Best of luck with the application process this year!

Once you complete the survey below, you will be provided a link to the data from our retrospective analysis of the 2014-2017 classes of Thomas Jefferson University 4th year medical students applying to orthopedic surgery residencies:
