Although I haven't received any yet, I'm sure that we're all doomed to get a few. I thought it might be helpful to everyone to start this thread along with the invitation thread... a good way to tell these programs "GFY"

Dear Applicant,

As you prepare to enjoy the Holidays, let us ruined them for you by wishing u the best of luck at other programs.

Got this email from 5, yes that's 5 programs all within 2 hours times.
These were the kind programs who were nice enough to deliver the bad news just before Thanksgiving:

Univ of Maryland, Medical College of Wisconsin, Univ of Florida, Boston Univ, and Columbia in NYC

And the day ain't over yet, I bet I'll get at 2 more.

I hope everyone else is doing much better than this!

And in an email with the curious subject heading "Happy Thanksgiving, you suck!" Columbia tells me "No chance you're coming to NYC you stupid Midwesterner"

On a more humane note, Boston U tells me, "Be thankful that we didn't outright deny you an interview spot - you may get one if other smarter people decide not to grace us with their presence"

So in summary:
Denied by Columbia
Almost denied by Boston

Happy Thanksgiving, one and all.

Got rejected from Harvard via email on 11/29

Talk about a painful rejection, I was a rotator. Got a great letter from the chairman and got great evals from the residents.

Somebody explain this to me, did I get backstabbed or did they make a mistake?
