This research fellowship position is directed in the study of injury mechanisms and functional outcomes of orthopaedic injuries. Specifically, research in the area of sports medicine. The individual in this role will be responsible for initiating, researching and publishing results from multiple simultaneous studies covering an array of clinical questions and hypotheses.

This is a funded position working with Brad Nelson, MD and the University of MN faculty in the department of orthopaedic surgery.  Work will be based at TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Bloomington, MN. 

The requirements for this position are post-doc with a desire to enter into orthopaedic surgery. We are interested in candidates willing to make a 2 year commitment which allows for sufficient time to complete and submit for publication several research projects prior to the beginning of the residency application process.

This position has opportunity to attend UMN grand rounds, surgical skills cadaver labs, and observe in the clinic and surgery center. TRIA is a multi-specialty orthopaedic clinic. Benefits provided including paid time off.

Our current fellow has published 7 manuscripts and has 7 pending. He's submitted numerous abstracts and presented on the local and national stage 5 times. He's also submitted 5 grant applications and 2 have been funded.
