The Orthopaedic Joint Arthroplasty Division at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a U.S.-based medical student taking a dedicated research year to serve as a Clinical Research Associate for the 2026–2027 academic year. The Department of Orthopaedics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is ranked #5 nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The Orthopaedic Arthroplasty Division is led by Division Chief Dr. Sean Rajaee, with faculty members Drs. Rebecca Burr, Robert Klapper, Guy Paiement, Brad Penenberg, Andrew Spitzer, and Mark Wu. The selected Clinical Research Associate will work closely with faculty to develop, execute, and publish original scientific research throughout the year. Responsibilities include regulatory submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), participation in prospective research studies with limited patient interaction, and data entry into electronic research platforms such as REDCap. The associate will also have opportunities for clinical exposure in both the outpatient clinic and operating room. This position is a paid role, and the associate will be employed by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.We are seeking a motivated, organized, and task-oriented student with strong self-direction and a willingness to learn new research skills. The ideal candidate is a current third-year medical student planning to take a dedicated research year between the third and fourth years of medical school.
