The Holy Cross Hospital - Orthopedic Research Program, in Fort Lauderdale Florida, invites applications for senior medical students (MSIII-IV) or recent graduates to apply for their paid annual research fellowship position. The Orthopedic Research Program works in conjunction with the Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute which is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals for orthopedic care. A goal of this all-inclusive fellowship is to immerse oneself in academic research (10 publications within the year), strengthen their application for the Orthopaedic Residency Match, and gain exposure to the private-academic orthopedic surgeon career model.

The research fellow will work in conjunction with the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery, Ross Wodicka, MD (sports fellowship trained) and Raul Gosthe, MD (adult reconstruction fellowship trained) at Holy Cross Medical Center.

The research fellow can expect to obtain proficiency in study design and planning, IRB writing and maintenance, development of patient registries, writing manuscripts, and preparing academic talks. They will additionally be exposed to cutting-edge orthopedic surgical treatment. The research fellow can tailor their experience to their interest.
