On behalf of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and the Stritch School of Medicine, we are investigating the financial costs of residency interviews and its potential impact on the match process. We performed this survey on a small scale last year and the results were surprising to us. We are attempting to distribute this survey to all US medical students, but we have a special interest in those students applying to Orthopaedics. This survey is completely anonymous, voluntary, and independent of any parties that are involved in The Match (e.g. ERAS).
