As a college athlete myself I'm wondering how much this will help my application. I played at a division I power 5 conference school, but not a sport that gets any kind of media attention i.e. not football, baseball, basketball. I know that college sports alone doesn't get you a spot, but I'd like to know how much it helps. There was a guy at my school who just matched who had average/lower tier scores for ortho and ended up with double the interviews of everyone else that I know, and the only thing on his application that would possibly explain that is division I sports. Any thoughts?
