Bone and Joint Infection Research Collaboration

The Bone and Joint Division at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics invites current medical students and graduates to apply for a non-funded, one-year clinical research collaboration for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This collaboration is designed to prepare the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons by offering an immersive experience that integrates research and mentorship. It is ideal for medical students or MD/DO graduates pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery.

Program Overview:
Collaborators will engage in a variety of research projects addressing critical topics in orthopaedic trauma, arthroplasty, bone and joint infection management, rehabilitation, patient safety, healthcare quality and value, and other orthopaedic subspecialties. Research is complemented by mentorship, as collaborators meet virtually with Dr. Conway or her current research fellow, Dr. Hoveidaei, multiple times per month to ensure guidance and support.

  • Proven track record of publication in leading orthopedic journals—our current fellow has contributed to over 40 projects.
