The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at the Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania has an opening for a PGY-2 orthopaedic surgery resident, to start July 1, 2017.

Qualified applicants must be in good academic standing and will have successfully completed the PGY 1, or PGY 1 and 2, year of training by June 30, 2017 in an ACGME accredited program.

All applicants must have passed USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3, and be eligible to begin training on July 1, 2017.

Interested candidates should submit the following information:

  • complete ERAS application
  • medical school transcript
  • current CV
  • personal statement including reason for leaving current program
  • ACGME Operative Log case summary
  • list of completed rotations including dates
  • summative competency-based performance evaluation for year 1
  • milestone evaluations
  • recommendation letter from your current program director verifying your training and current standing in the program
  • and two other recommendation letters from faculty in your current program.
