The Mayo Clinic Orthopedic Trauma Service (OTS) is seeking applications for the inaugural year of its orthopedic trauma research fellowship.  Outstanding 3rd year medical students are invited to apply for this one-year position starting spring/summer of 2020.

The Mayo OTS faculty include Andy Sems, Brandon Yuan, Woodie Cross, and Jon Barlow.  The research fellow will have an opportunity to collaborate on a number of projects with each faculty, in addition to collaborative projects with other divisions in the Mayo Clinic department of Orthopedic Surgery.  Research will include projects in general trauma, upper extremity, lower extremity, and arthroplasty.

In addition to the research experience, the research fellow will have an opportunity to engage in a number of educational offerings, including biostatistics education, morning trauma conference, and weekly educational conferences.  Furthermore, they will be expected to collaborate with  current orthopedic surgery residents to initiate, advance and complete multiple research studies.

This is an outstanding opportunity to strengthen your CV for the increasingly competitive orthopedic match.  To apply, email your CV, two letters of recommendation, personal statement, picture, USMLE Step 1 score report, and medical school transcript to Brandon Yuan (This email address is being protected from spambots.
