We are seeking ambitious current 2nd and 3rd year medical students to apply for a one-year research fellowship position in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, starting spring/summer 2019.

Position: Orthopaedic Surgery Research Fellow

Salary: A monthly stipend is provided

Where: Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, MI.

When: Beginning Spring/Summer 2019

This position is a full-time research fellowship that will provide highly motivated applicants with significant opportunities for publications, implementation and design of new research projects, networking, and shadowing. This is a tremendous opportunity for current medical students to strengthen their applications for a match in an orthopaedic surgery residency.

Research topics will primarily focus on outcome collection for surgical patients with shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee conditions. All research fellows will work under the direction of Dr. Eric Makhni, Dr. Stephanie Muh, and Dr. Vasilios Moutzouros.

Prior research fellows have been instrumental in the success of our research program and future fellows are expected to be highly productive as well. Applicants can expect to produce 10+ manuscripts for publication, including numerous first author publications.
