Cleveland Clinic Florida Visiting Research Fellow Program: Levitetz Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

The Levitetz Department of Orthopaedic surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida is a robust and rapidly expanding entity. Ranked in the top tier for orthopaedics both nationally and regionally, it boasts a team of the most qualified and in-demand surgeons and access to the most cutting-edge treatment options and research.

Visiting Research Fellow applicants should expect to commit to a minimum of 1 year with the program, during which time they will work collaboratively with other research fellows, attending physicians, research coordinators and other clinic staff to advance the objectives of the department through the development and implementation of research projects which correspond to three primary areas of interest: Innovation, Value and Cost, and Patient Outcomes. Additional responsibilities include completion of outstanding projects and any study-related activities (consenting/interviewing patients, data collection, etc.) for sponsored and investigator-initiated studies. VRFs will also attend weekly team meetings and participate in other relevant activities such as departmental meetings, journal club, or trainings.

Visiting Research Fellows will attain proficiency in various aspects of basic clinical research, including study design, research compliance, writing and submission of study protocols, data collection, statistical analysis, manuscript preparation and submission, and for presentations at national and regional professional orthopedic society conferences. Visiting research fellows will be eligible to a full-time salary with benefits.
