Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Division of Orthopaedics, is looking for an exceptional individual interested in doing an adult reconstruction fellowship for the 2012-2013 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated individual looking to expand and challenge his/her knowledge of orthopaedics and to work closely with Adult Reconstruction Orthopaedic Surgery faculty, including the division chairman, in clinic, surgical arenas, and research. The fellow should have: graduated from an LCME-accredited medical school or an AOA-accredited osteopathic school; completed an ACGME-accredited orthopaedic residency; be board-eligible or certified in orthopaedic surgery; ability to obtain a permanent Illinois license; and accepted on staff at affiliated hospitals. Please note that the interested individual should have a J1 VISA, greencard, or US citizenship.

The Adult Reconstruction fellow will be responsible for: the evaluation, admission, surgical procedures, and day-to-day management of adult reconstruction patients under direction of participating surgeons; education and supervision of orthopaedic residents; participation in the educational activities of the residency program; and involved in at least two research projects.

Interested individuals should contact the current research coordinator (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with any questions and/or to apply for the 2012-2013 academic year.
