The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is offering a one-year spine surgery fellowship to begin August 1, 2020 at Beaumont Health, Royal Oak in Royal Oak, Michigan. 

This fellowship is a comprehensive program encompassing spinal problems and their evaluation, nonoperative and operative care.

 

Emphasis is on degenerative cervical and lumbar spine as well as the full range of adult and pediatric problems.  Fellows are responsible for the overall function of the spine service and functions as a resident educator as well.  Plenty of outpatient experience is given in addition to lectures, pre-op conferences and surgical experience.  Research is required with full facilities available.  The fellowship is accredited by the Review Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery as well as the ACGME.

A successful candidate must be eligible to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Michigan.
