JBJS and a group of expert authors and commentators presented a live webinar on April 21, 2015, examining surgical approaches to hip replacement.

The orthopaedic community has been seeking to optimize total hip arthroplasty (THA) outcomes for patients from many different angles, including—literally—the angle at which the joint is approached surgically.  The surgical approach to the hip joint—posterior, anterior, or lateral—has been the subject of much debate among orthopaedists and was the topic of this complimentary JBJS webinar.

This complimentary webinar, moderated by Daniel J. Berry, MD, former chair of the Mayo Clinic’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, discussed the latest evidence.
