:pimp: anyone have any news or helpful info regarding tumor fellowships? Any resident at any program where there is one or current or ex-fellows, please give me some scoop!

Since there are only about 8 in the country New York, Boston, Washington,DC, Mayo, UCLA, MD Anderson (Texas), Chicago and Fla. it makes it easy to apply. The downside is that some years can be competive, and that a few of the progs are 2 years long!

If you don't mind rounding 2x a day, USING your stethoscope!, taking care of SICK patients, having A LOT of your patients crying/dying and whacking legs off of 7 year old kids, then tumor is for you..

This shit aint easy mentally(unless you're a robot) - it helps to have a good spouse and religion....

Think very carefully before choosing this route - it's not like most of orthopaedics.

im a med student at miami fl, seems like a pretty decent tumor fellowship with 3 ortho tumor attendings and 2 fellows.
