Texas Back institute

Can I please get some info on Texas Back? i have to choose between interviewing there and at UCSD and dont have too much solid info on Texas Back. I know they do high volume, but thats abot it. thanks

this is second hand info... but I hear you come out of there being able to do a nice disc arthroplasty, but kind of weak on the bread and butter. again... second hand info.

One of our residents is going to UCSD. It's a very well respected program. It'll prepare you well for anything that you want to do.

Texas Back does a lot of new techniques that might not be practical outside of a center like that. I did not apply to Texas Back because I wanted a fellowship that did a little bit of everything. I didn't apply to UCSD because I didn't want to live in San Diego, but if the program was elsewhere I'm sure I would have applied.

There are a lot of great fellowships out there. Just decide what you want out of a fellowship and find one that matches your wants.
