Just curious if anyone knows what happened with dr Evans and why dr Hamilton is going to remain chair. Sounded to me like they were making that their biggest selling point of the program...that Hamilton was leaving.
I was told Hamilton is moving and Evans will be PD next year.

Probably a paperwork thing If anyone sees Dr. Evans, tell him "PBJ says hi" for me.

It is not a paperwork thing and Dr Hamilton is not leaving UMKC. Dr Evans is still on staff just won't be PD. Just wanted to know If anyone knows if there are any major issues going on that could effect residents.

Wallballer, you are incorrect. Dr. Hamilton is retiring this year; he has already sold his house in KC and is moving from town at the end of June. Starting July 1, Dr. Olney (the Chairman from Children's Mercy) will be the PD. Dr. Evans will remain on staff at Truman Medical Center and will likely be the interim Chairman. We are excited for Dr. Olney to start as PD - he served as both PD/Chairman at KU, and works well with the residents. So let's stop the rumors, Wallballer, shall we?

That's good to know. Definitely not trying to start rumors. Received an ambiguous email from Hamilton and Evans. Dr Olney seems like he'd be good for the position. Just seems like that's something they'd update their applicants with considering PD's can make or break programs.
