I've been advised to only put it on CVs that are given to people who are writing LORs for you. Otherwise I'm not sure its smart to put it on when its not asked for. Neither of my non-vsas away rotation apps asked for my step 1 score and both accepted me.

if a PD, chairman, etc is looking at your cv, its probably the first thing they'll look for/ask about (at least it was all the times I met with people). I guess I don't see any downside in it on there unless it's a below average score, but even then why not be upfront about it?

Thanks for the replies. My step scores are both >240 so I didn't think it would hurt me. I was just wondering if it's something commonly done. Some aways (non-vsas) ask for it.

I would definitely put it on. Make a section called "Certifications" or "Licensing Exams" and put that you passed with the score and the date. When you get to a point when Step scores don't matter, then you can just remove the score and you still have the date you passed.

Why would you put it on the CV submitted to ERAS when they will already be able to see your scores directly through ERAS? seems redunant

You don't put it on your ERAS CV, there won't even be a spot for it. ERAS has a bunch of fields for you to fill in and then it automatically generates a horribly formatted CV for you. I would however put my scores on the CV for VSAS and for anyone I plan on having me write a letter of recommendation, unless I had low scores. If the scores help you get a rotation, great. If they keep you from getting a rotation, at least you didn't waste your time at a program you couldn't get into anyway. I think giving all the information you can is the best way to go.
