Hi, I am currently in the match season. I just received my CK score and it is very low compared to my step 1 (very high). I obviously do not plan on releasing this before match lists are set one month from now. Otherwise, is my plan to not release my scores advisable? Will not releasing my score hurt my chances of being ranked? Thanks.
If it is really low than not releasing it will probably help. If it is just comparatively low but still >230 then it probably doesn't matter if your Step 1 is "really high".

You may want to double check the website for your ranked programs to make sure they don't require a CK score to finalize your rank.

Are you aware of any programs that do?

Not specifically, but we received a notice from our school's student affairs office stating they would not certify us for the match without our CK scores. I realize this is different than the ortho programs, but if you are in this situation I would check with programs you are matching rather than risk it. I know some schools wanted to see these scores before the interview, but never brought them up.
