4th year student here getting ready for interviews. Needed an honest evaluation of my status. Just got denied an interview from a program I rotated and got good feedback at. Small southern medical school with no home program. Step 1. 245 Step 2. 244 Sr. AOA Numerous leadership positions including class president Research is weak point: 1 major cohort study that has been roadblocked by loss to f/u. 1 case report that cannot be submitted due to patient permission pending. 1 very minor presentation for family resident didactic. I currently have 5 interviews scheduled but have heard I need at least 10 to have a good shot. What do y'all think of this application, and is my lack of published research gonna kill my chances?
