I recently found out that my school only writes Orthopaedic Surgery on the transcript for my away rotations rather than the school's name where I did the clerkship. Is it wise to write letters to each program telling them about my clerkship locations (they were all over the country) to overcome some regionalism?

I am in the same situation my transcript reads Elective Clinical for my away rotations. However, the dean's letter should list the away rotation at least by specialty.

I am not going to send letters to the programs. I figure it won't make or break my application. Plus I got a LOR from each of the places I rotated. Hopefully they will put 2 and 2 together.

Just my thoughts,

Or you could have your school include those specifics in the Dean's Letter??????
