I was counting on an away at a hospital that didn't work out to a date discrepency and now I want to apply to other programs for Oct/Nov. Is it too late to get a spot at most programs? I just don't want to waste my money if my chances are slim to none. Especially interested in HSS. I applied for an elective in early June and got it...just made a couple of phone calls after I turned in my application and they approved it. But it wasn't at HSS...I would think there's a lot of competition for electives there. In any case, I don't think it would hurt to apply...the money you spend is just a drop in the bucket when you look at the big picture. slk Registered User Posts: 31 (6/24/01 12:18:24 pm) Reply Re: Is it too late to apply for away rotations? I was scheduled for an elective at HSS in October, and I called in August to change the service I was on. There were still several to choose from.
