We're excited to extend this invitation to medical school graduates who are eager to immerse themselves in a one-year salaried clinical research fellowship at Ochsner-Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in Baton Rouge, LA. The research fellowship program is designed to provide candidates with invaluable experience in Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine research while enhancing their competitiveness for residency applications. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, sports physical therapists, athletic trainers, and strength and conditioning experts on cutting edge clinical research projects.
You'll experience the support of collaboration with researchers throughout the Ochsner system and be able to leverage our partnership with the Andrews Institute. As a research fellow at the Ochsner-Andrews Sports Medicine Institute, you'll be responsible for:
- Coordinating and managing research projects
- Working with our clinical research coordinators and attending physicians to draft IRB protocols
- Collaborating with clinical and research staff, including biostatisticians on data collection and statistical analyses
- Preparing abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and book chapters
- Video and Multimedial Presentations and Submissions
