Hey guys,

Just wondering which Cali school is the best to do an away rotation at? Stanford? UCSF? UCLA? are the ones I'm thinking of. I'm from the east coast, been here all my life, and desperately trying to beat regionalism and get into a cali residency. Suggestions?

It depends on your grades, board scores, etc. Keep in mind that schools like UCLA, Stanford, and UCSF have quite a few stellar students rotate through and therefore a rotation may not improve your chances too much. If your numbers are great, however, rotations there would be very helpful.
On the other hand, rotations at UC Irvine, Harbor UCLA, Loma Linda, and the San Francisco Program greatly enhance your application. Just something to consider. Also consider the AZ, NM, Utah, Washington, and Oregon programs if you want to come out west. All very good programs.:smokin:

Think about UC Davis. It has a great reputation and gives big brownie points to people who rotate there. I think 3/4 that matched this year rotated. :pimp:
