Hey, I interviewed at UMDNJ a few weeks ago and have been scouring the web for more information. I didn't feel that I got to speak to many residents on interview day, so I don't get a sense of their happiness and the quality of life.

Previous posts mentioned the heavy volume trauma, and it sounds like you're busy when on-call, but you only take call like 3-4 times per month. I am mostly concerned about quality of life as I've also read the residents are treated poorly by attendings and living in NJ is not very nice. How much are they getting to operate?

Any inside info will help.
