With close to 100 peer reviewed publications in the past 5 years and 15 manuscripts currently in various stages, the shoulder and elbow research team at Holy Cross in Ft. Lauderdale provides a unique opportunity for a productive research year!

The Holy Cross Orthopedic Research Institute, in Fort Lauderdale Florida, invites applications for senior medical students (MSIII-IV), residents in prelim years and recent graduates to apply for this competitive funded annual research fellowship position.

Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute is South Florida's leading orthopedic center performing cutting-edge research in robotics, sensors, shoulder and elbow surgery, and sports medicine. The Institute is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top hospital for orthopedic care and was recently named in the top 10 hospitals in the country for shoulder replacement surgery.

The research fellow can expect to obtain proficiency in research study design and planning; IRB writing and maintenance; development of patient registries; the ability to effectively and efficiently write manuscripts and prepare academic talks; manuscript preparation and submission; exposure to cutting-edge orthopedic surgical treatment options. The research fellow can tailor their experience to their interest. We currently have 15 studies ongoing, with a prospective clinical outcomes database of over 6000 surgeries.
