While I've not had experience with hip arthroscopy in spondylo-epiphyseal dysplasia, developmental hip dysplasia is increasingly recognized as a cause of infolded labral cartilage, which with approaching or established skeletal maturity can tear, producing an internal derangement pattern not unlike that seen in knee internal derangement due to cartilage lesions, these of the meniscus.
