The Center for Joint Preservation and Reconstruction at Lenox Hill Hospital invites all interested and qualified individuals to apply for an orthopaedic research fellowship position with Jose A. Rodriguez, MD. This is a 1- or 2- year salaried position that will begin on August 1, 2010 and is open to all candidates who will be medical school graduates by that time, with a preference towards those who have completed a residency program. It presents a unique opportunity to work with renowned faculty in the field of hip and knee reconstructive surgery, to assist with FDA trials of new devices, to gather and analyze data, to assist in study design, to attend and present work at regional and national conferences, and to prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. The current fellow has published multiple articles and presented at the annual National (AAOS, AAHKS) and International (ISTA, EFORT) meetings during the fellowship. This is an excellent way to improve your chance of matching with an orthopaedic residency/ fellowship program in the US.

GOALS:
* Investigate basic science and clinical aspects of hip and knee joint arthroplasty and preservation.
* Prepare manuscripts, textbook chapters, posters and educational videos.
* Participate in research meetings, seminars, journal clubs, symposia, and professional society meetings.
* Coordinate all research and educational activities for the Adult Reconstruction Service
