Created by the AO Foundation, this classification app allows a user to determine the Muller classification of long-bone fractures by selecting the bone, the segment, and the fracture morphology. In addition, radiographs are included to
demonstrate true images of fracture patterns as a supplement to the figures provided. Once a particular fracture is selected, the user can save cases as “favorites” with a memo, a tool that could be valuable for a resident needing to keep track of fracture types while seen on call. The app also includes a “glossary” section that offers supplemental notes such as classification terminology and instructions for identifying fractures. Lastly, all data lives on the device thereby allowing for rapid access and use even without a data access signal.Cost: Free
