My Rush interview rejection letter mentioned that there were more than 100 applicants this year to Rush alone. Is that a lot more applicants than usual?

I was told last year on interviews there were about 95 total applicants...which was down you years prior. I think there is usually 100-120.

Then it says we will let you know in "a few weeks"
Well the date they picked is Feb 4. Thats only 2 months away.
