Washington University St. Louis - Email received today, applicants can request email that groups them into 3 categories (highly competitive, competitive, less competitive).
while i'm at it, anyone hear form HSS yet?

not sure, the email did not specify. This is all it said:
Our rank list has been sub-divided into three groups, highly competitive, competitive and less competitive candidates. Most of our matched residents will come from the highly competitive group (this is the group that has the greatest chance of matching at Washington University Orthopaedic Surgery). Some will come from the competitive group. It is anticipated that few candidates in the less competitive group will successfully match at Washington University.

I'm curious too about hss. I assume no news is bad news- my "unranked" letter is probably in the mail as I type- but has anyone heard?
