for those of us who haven't received rejections from places that have sent em out.. I wonder if that's a good thing.. or neither

If you havnt received a rejection and the school has already sent out interviews.. it either means you are in a different wave of applicants they are about to discuss or they like you and are still deciding if they want to interview you over someone else.

On behalf of Dr. Sanford Emery and the Residency Selection Committee, thank you for applying to the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at West Virginia University. Although your application was selected, due to the numerous applications we receive, we are not able to initially extend interview invitations to everyone. If you would like to be placed on a waitlist should a spot become available, please respond via e-mail. Interview dates are Saturday, December 12, 2009 and Saturday, January 9, 2010.

I guess it's better than a flat out rejection.

Dec 12 and Jan 9 are turning out to be the big dates, never know how it will turn out!
