Goals and Characteristics
We are proud to offer a clinical and academic orthopedic oncology fellowship with a strong emphasis on limb sparing surgery for pediatric and adult bone and soft tissue sarcomas. The fellow will be exposed to over 300 musculoskeletal tumor cases per year including benign and malignant bone as well as soft tissue tumors and metastatic cancers involving the extremities, pelvis and sacrum. He or She will also collaborate with other members of our multidisciplinary team including musculoskeletal radiology, bone and soft tissue pathology, pediatric oncology, medical oncology and radiation oncology. Research is encouraged and the fellow will be assisted by our team’s full time research assistant. Orthopedic resident as well as multidisciplinary conferences are regularly scheduled. The fellow will also participate in the annual regional musculoskeletal pathology course.
