My current plan is to do general orthopaedics in a small town, however would like to develop better arthroscopic skills and was wondering if anyone knew of any 6 month preceptorship programs. I am aware that a program needs to be 1 yr for accreditation. Thank you for your time.

I would suggest that you just go ahead and do an accredited sports medicine fellowship. That way you can take the CAQ for Sports Medicine. Gives you something else to hang on your shingle to help keep the local sports kids from leaving town to see a doc in a bigger city.
