Everyone has been posting (myself included) about finding housing. I was going back through the threads on housing and came across rotatingroom.com. I checked it out for Chicago and it looked like a great way to find a room to sublease. This will probably be even better for NYC and LA. Hope y'all find it helpful.

Also a great site. Only set up for Chicago, NY, LA, and Seattle, but a great option if you're traveling to any of these cities.

I used rotatingroom when I was looking at aways in NYC which was great because the apartments are cheaper than whats on craigslist and elsewhere. Many of the students in cities like that are living with other people though so you'll probably be looking at room where you're living in an apartment with up to three other people.
