Educational materials to help you make informed decisions about your orthopaedic bone and joint...
We have an unexpected opening for an Orthopaedic Adult Reconstructive Fellowship position starting August 1, 2011. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of hip and knee joint replacement surgical techniques. The fellow engages in research studies of joint replacement, surgical techniques, and devices with the goal of improving skills and expanding knowledge. As training progresses, the Fellow will assume a major role in the continuing care of patients and have progressive responsibility in patient assessment, preoperative evaluation, operative experience, training of residents and medical students, and postoperative management and rehabilitation.
As experience grows, more complex aspects of total joint surgery will be performed, including mini-incision technique for primary total hip arthroplasty, use of navigation tools, and complex primary and revision total hip and knee arthroplasty. All applicants must be eligible for a California medical license and submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference.
